On the unilateral declaration of a ceasefire by the M23 who seized the city of Goma in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, Oxfam's Country Director, Dr. Manenji Mangundu said: " This ceasefire, however fragile, is critical in allowing life-saving humanitarian aid to reach those most affected by the conflict."

We urge all parties to commit to an immediate cessation of hostilities and engage in inclusive peace talks to allow people to rebuild their lives.
